Quintessence Harmony Pedal Review

Great tool for the pedal board

I play in a hard rock and classic metal cover band. I am the only guitar player in the band, and we don't have a keyboard player. We realized a harmonizer would help for certain songs. When we used it for Queen and a Styx song, we realized this more than did the trick. I also play Iron Maiden, so I used it there as well. We were doing a Rival Sons song, where Holiday uses a… read more 12 string. I experimented with the Quintessence to use a doubling effect, and we were surprised how much better it sounded with the Quintessence on. I have a TC Electronic Chorus, Delay, and Reverb on my board as well. Great pedals at a fair price.

Harmonizing your playing

I was looking for a tool that could easily harmonize lead lines. Surprisingly, I did not see a large variety of pedals specifically made for this. TC Electronics makes great quality pedals and this did not disappoint. The price was reasonable. The tracking was impeccable even in bends. Quintessence Harmony pedal

Finally, my 2nd guitarist

I have been playing guitar since the time when a fuzz pedal was the latest gimmick. I tend to shy away from the latest fads and was skeptical of the Quintessence Harmony pedal at first. But after I watched a video from Premier Guitar with John Bohlinger demonstrating the TC Electronics Quintessence Harmony pedal I took the chance. I was hooked from the moment I could play Allman… read more Brother's Band style harmonies by myself. The mash technology works to create pedal steel type bends which is also a plus for me. The tone print feature works well along with being able to load other settings into pedal by aiming your smartphone at your guitar's pickup. I had been contemplating another manufacturer's pedal that can 'rock' between two different harmonies but wasn't completely convinced it would perform as needed. Am I ever glad I waited for the Quintessence Harmony. What can I say but everything works and I like it. TC Electronics nailed it with the Quintessence Harmony pedal. Also delighted with the prompt shipping that my rep Andy Hoye provided. I received my order Satuday morning, even though I had placed the order Friday afternoon. A big thumbs up to Sweetwater, they will continue to get my business. Great customer service. And yes, my wife loves the bag of candy that is placed in each order.

QUINTESSENCE TC ELECTRONICS

Im happy to own this pedal. It added real harmony to solo lines even on chords. Ive been thru doing complete guitar instrumental using 3rd above harmony. No artificial harmony up to the end even during string bends. I use this with boss od 2 directly plugged in zoom r8 multitrack recorder. Very clean, note for note true guitar sound.
