Fishman pickup
This pickup works well and I like the sound; everything I wanted.
Incredibly crisp sound.
I Installed this on my 1967 Gibson B-25 Guitar. the feature of smoothly dialing the balance between the humbucker and the mic, the bass-cut switch, and the endless possibilities of microphone positioning to capture detailed nuances made it worthy of my vintage acoustic guitar. it looks good too.
True Acoustic sound
This product has given me the best sound from my guitar. I'm using it on my Martin DM. It gives me very the ability to be able to move while I'm playing which is what I was looking for. The built-in adjustable mic along with the magnetic pickup under the strings brings out the fill sound of my guitar.
Put in three guitars
I have used a lot of pickups in acoustic guitars, starting in the sixties. I have them in a Martin OM-28, a D=35, and a Gibson Hummingbird. Head and shoulders above what came with the Gibson and the Martins just sing. Not sure why there's a need for any other pickups.
Disagree Rachel
Just got back from NAAM 2019 I was there with Fishman and looked at their models in detail. I will purchase this one and if you prefer just the humbucker just dial it in that way without the blend... Read this I bought this thinking i was up grading from the fishman rare earth humbucker. I paid tons more for a pickup that isn't as good. I love the one without the mic. it is voiced… read more beautifully. The humbucker in this model is wound differently to off set the warmth of the mic. the humbucker alone is tinny, you have to add the mic to end up with a good sound. why oh why did they do that? i wanted that beautiful full sound the humbucker gave me, then add some mic. not possible. i now have to use the mic mostly ( not a great mic) and add some humbucker to brighten. buy the rare earth humbucker it won't disappoint you,( ive owned several) and you will save yourself some money.
