Roto Sound ! What else can I say !
Always get the Growl I love with Roto sound strings. They last quite a while, stay in tune very well and Dam, I love that growl.
Best strings for my Sire P-7
These strings sound fantastic on my Sire P-7. Bright tone and a joy to play. I use different sets of strings to bring out the characteristics of each bass I have and these are spot on for my Sire. If you're looking for your new brand of strings, I'd suggest trying these out.
Rotosounds Rock
My favorite Bass Guitarist is the late great John Entwhistle. I know that back in the day, he used Rotosounds. I have several Bass guitars, and no other string sounds better on my classic American made Fender Precision Bass. I also play a Ibanez SR500 (old style SR500 made in 1993, it differs from the newer ones with the same model name) It requires a lighter gauge string, 40-95… read more and I am happy to see that through Sweetwater I can now buy lighter gauge RotoSounds for it. My only complaint with Rotosound, was one night, at a gig, I had just put a new set of Swing Bass 66's on my P Bass, we had played a few songs in our first set, then a song I played and sang came up, and a couple bars into it, my big E string broke, thus throwing the entire Bass out of tune. Well I managed to get a couple of the other strings back in tune, and we made it through the song. I wrote them about it, and never even got an apology. Still, that was one incident, and I still recommend these strings to get that awesome round wound growl! !! They are alot more inexpensive now days too!
