Bought this pick-up because I found the Fishman electronics on my Fender Sonoran to be excessively bright and I wanted something a little tamer and less shrill.This Duncan fit the bill perfectly.Slips into the soundhole easily,and with a little dis-connecting and soldering,I ran the cable inside of the guitar and used the existing output jack from the Fishman.Nice,neat,and no cable… read more duct taped to the outside of the guitar.It now has a full acoustic sound that works much better for me.Thanks Sweetwater!

This is a great sounding acoustic guitar pickup by Seymour Duncan. It captures the nuances of playing and the sound from the body of the acoustic perfectly! It *does not* give off that "electric humbucker" sound, where you are playing acoustic, but your ears (and the audience) think it's a Les Paul, you know what I mean? It fits right inside the sound hole (4" diameter is perfect)… read more but with a little giggling, you can squeeze it into a smaller 3¾" sound hole. It's tight, but it fits fine. The 14 or 15 foot cable is excellent too, and long enough to freely walk around.
Well worth the money!

I purchased this pickup for my Weissenborn style guitar. I did have to do some minor trimming, due to the smaller sound hole of the instrument; but once installed, it performs flawlessly! I have several Seymour Duncan pickups in my guitars, and I never regretted the replacements. So it is with this one; great, clean sound and balanced tone.

The SA-3XL pickup is the perfect solution for clean, consistent sound in a church environment. Trying to use mics in a non-studio environment, with the guitar(s) often too close to the piano has never worked well. Now, with three SA-3XL pickups we have full, individual control, and the pickups will fit virtually any guitar.
