This is my first 5 string. I bought in order to extend my low presence. The bass is beautiful and the neck is a wondeful shape/size. It has stayed in tune through many long sets. I ping the bass because the pickups keep backing out! I keep a screwdriver handy to mitigate this frustration. Occasionally, depending on the bridge/neck balance there will be dead spots in frequency response. read more It feels like you get a plunk when you hit the associated string/note. I feel like the electronics are a little power hungry too. I keep spare 9 volts handy and change out before important gigs. Otherwise, I DO really enjoy playing this instrument.

I dig it

This bass is great. I love the tone, playability and minimalist feel. Satin finish feels and looks awesome. Low B presence is sweet, too. Sweetwater did an amazing job setting it up. My only complaint is that the through-body string holes don't quite line up with the holes in the bridge. Doesn't seem to affect playability or tuning though. I really love this bass.

This is the first time I've owned a Schecter and the first time I've played a 5 string. It's just great! I should have bought one years ago. The natural satin finish is super! Thank you!
