Best Amp I ever owned

I am writing this review for anyone that is on the fence with this amp. I was turned on to my shiva by my jazz guitar teacher at collage. Honestly, I sucked at jazz. I only took the class to learn how to write solos. I feel in love with the clean tone this amp had. It, with the revered is unbelievable. I saved up and purchased my Shiva EL34 head with a Bogner 4x12 cab and played… read more in my Hard rock/metal band with it. Yes, this amp kicks as a metal amp. If you like slayer or any classic thrash this amp is killer. It can sound like the greatest JCM800 in the world with a clean that is pure beauty. I was using passive pickups and no overdrive pedals in the front end and had all the gain I needed. To be fair thou, our rhythm guitarist played EMG 81 pickups and a Mesa Boogie duel rec so we had a good balanced sound.

I own a Marshall DSL100H, a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, and a Mesa Boogie Twin V preamp/Behringer power amp...they are all now for sale. This Shiva EL34 is sending to a 16 ohm 240 watt Marshall 4x12 slant. I plugged in my PRS Custom 24, turned it on, and proceeded to wet my pants. Say no more.

I just got this amp a few days ago, totally sweet sounding amp! I got the 6L6 version of this amp. It sounds amazing! Sparkling cleans, and very sweet distortion. The distortion is very bright and open(not too compressed), sounds great. Oh, and very loud!! I will never need another amp, I am happy with my purchase and am not looking back!
