Never expected this type of quality or sound
I'm speechless this is a super high quality instrument I had no idea that these were going to be this nice the tonal quality on this is just absolutely blows me away this is the first active base I've ever owned and I've owned about seven bases now this is by far better than any of them I wanted a heavy one so mine weighs almost 10 lb it's great that you can go through and get lighter… read more weight bodies or heavier weight bodies I did not know that that was a pleasant surprise I always want a heavy Bass
Ridiculously Fun Bass
Been playing pro bass since the late 70's. Been a strong lover of my first love Ric and my Fenders of course . My wife found this bass on SW and passed it by me . If Mr Miller had anything to do with this axe then it was worth a try for this money. Holy cow is it fun. Slap happy , excellent action and a quality active pickup punch..... basically feel free to attack anyway you want… read more with the desired effect . Ive dialed in Marcus sounds, Geddy sounds and great slap sounds . Very balanced output. Cant say enough for this money. I love when my every note is expressed just a bit different than the one before it if I so choose and this bass delivers that in spades. Sire did it right with this line. The higher end ones must be sick as hell cause this is not a high end bass by any means but performs like one indeed.
Awesome Bass!
I got this bass to use for recording, as I am generally a guitarist. I had read quite a bit about the Sire basses and guitars and had seen many You Tube videos. I was looking for a cost effective instrument that would be of quality, without being too cost prohibitive. I settled on this one and WOW, it is amazing for the price! Not only is it active, but it is passive as well, so… read more many sounds and vibes can be had from this bass. I would say this is not just a beginners or intermediate type bass, but one that could be used gigging for sure. Sweetwater has been my go to for years now and I will tell you that they really took care of me with this bass. It was packed nicely and setup to play right out of the box. Just a few tweaks and it played like I wanted it to. Very comfortable and solid. Stays in tune perfectly. Shout out to Dan Van Amerongen, my sales rep! Thank you again! Randy
