Awesome pedal, broke after 2 years of regular use
This is one of the coolest guitar pedals. Has some amazing features that you wouldn't be able to get out of a regular pitch shift whammy style pedal. However, don't buy this. The toggle stopped working after 2 years, I can no longer ramp up or down into a sound, but it still works as a pitch shifting pedal. I would recommend getting a dunlop expression pedal and the Pitch Shift… read more +. It's a little more expensive, but if you want something that might only last 2 years go for this pedal.
Great Sounds, Frustrating Construction
I REALLY like the sounds you get out of this pedal. It's so versatile and inspiring - top-notch pitch-shifting and capabilities that I much prefer to that of the classic Whammy. The only downside is the cheap plastic construction. It makes me question the longevity of the pedal, but for now I love it. I agree with the previous commenter, I'd happily pay more for higher quality unit.
So many awesome sounds, but why the cheap construction?
First off let me say I'm so impressed by this polyphonic harmonizer/pitch pedal. There are so many switchable possibilities with this pedal, and the sounds are just awesome. My concern: I understand the desire to keep this at a reasonable cost, but this housing seems very, flimsy. Much more light then I expected due to an all plastic housing. Also has thin plastic "teeth" under… read more the toe for the potentiometer that I am fully expected to break eventually. I tried out three pedals at the local shop: -One crackled with noise and cut from the power supply -One had the "pitch mix" knob not working -The third worked great! My closing thoughts: -This pedal is what I have been looking for for many years. -It accomplished everything I wanted from it and then some -the value is insane, but would have rather spent an extra 50-100 bucks for a sturdier housing. -Going to probably buy two to have one as backup when gigging due to having had those initial demo issues.
