Used Scheerhorn bars for sometime now. They're from the 90s and are the chrome plated over brass ones. Looked at the new stainless steel ones but at 85 to 90 dollars I wasn't really willing to pay that much. Picked up a few different bars to try out and evaluate. One was the Shubb SP2 bar and I am quite pleased with it. It is a heavier bar but easy to control. The cut aways all… read more around the bar make for great control and you have a choice in ends; one being sharper as preferred by many "dobro" players with the other end being a semi bullet shape. The weight contributes to great tone and the workmanship is excellent. Picked up a second one for backup.
