Monster Tone
This is a very responsive envelope filter with tons of touch and feel. Sure you can get some great auto wah noises, but if you tinker further you can create some real monstrous tones. Slap some delay and chorus on there as well and it sounds like laser beams and light sabers. Sample and Hold is really nice, would like a tap tempo or something to help time it better. Best pedal I've… read more bought in a long time.
Good. Nice and quacky.
I think that this works better for guitar than on bass, but it is still fun for bass. I only really use 1/3 of it as I have no use for sample and hold or the downward filter but I'm sure others do and enjoy it. The ability to hold down the switch and only have it engaged briefly is a nice touch, but DANG that light is bright!
Better than my expectation
Have so much fun to play with it, and it is very inspiring.
Incredible pedal
I bought this pedal some months ago and haven't stopped enjoying it since. The resonance and filter knobs give you the perfect amount of control to get a whole variety of filter sweeps and wah sounds. I've found myself enjoying the filter in the down position more than I thought I would. The sample/hold setting is just the icing on the cake - really cool setting that you wont use… read more very often but offers something truly unique when you do. I suppose if I had to find a flaw, it would be great if the sample/hold was footswitchable, but that's really nitpicking. I would recommend this to many players, not just for the usual funk auto-wah stuff. One tip I have is to use a compressor after this pedal in the chain. This can help keep the volume even during more aggressive filter sweeps.
