absolutely love this bass, only thing i changed was the preamp. i installed a darkglass tone capsule in it and let me tell ya its BAD A$$. the tone pump wasnt that bad but i just prefer the dg tone capsule.

Exceeded expectations! Flawless finish (black cherry) and details, solid and comfy neck! Adjusted for really low action this bass sounds tight and punchy!!

This is my first Spector bass and I could not be happier. The feel of the bass is wonderful straight out of the box. It plays beautifully. The finish looks better in real life than in the pictures - you can really feel the exposed grain on the body and the neck feels incredibly smooth and fast. Matching headstock is a really nice touch. The sound is probably my favorite part though. read more It cuts through a mix beautifully and you can get so many different tones from the pick ups. It blows me away every time I plug it in! If you're on the fence about getting a Spector bass, know that you will be happy with it. Sweetwater of course has the best customer service, and kept me updated throughout the process. Cheers Zac!

Extremely Satisfied!

This is my first Spector and what a great impression this gave me! I HIGHLY regard the build quality– it is on-par (if not better) than my US-made basses (Fender Am Pro P, Fender Hwy 1 Jazz, Kiesel V59K). The fit and finish is exceptional, the neck is satin smooth, the fret job is top-tier, and the neck pocket is T I G H T. South Korea truly is the best "import" manufacturer of read more guitars/basses. The 35" scale did take a bit to get used to but it is well worth it especially if you plan to downtune. The EMG 40DC pickups give you that Spector growl, albeit a bit on the hi-fi spectrum. I actually swapped out the 40DC on the neck for an EMG 40P5 for the added versatility of a P. The gig bag is also very impressive, in fact it is the same one as on the Euro line. IMO only the Kiesel and Dingwall gig bags are better. The only con to the NS Pulse is the Tone Pump Jr. preamp. It works good and does give that Spector tone, but the weird control parameters and the responsiveness of it could be better. Easy swap though, if you know what you want and what you're doing. (Pro tip: google Michalik BP-4 as a replacement) All in all I am thoroughly impressed and I am now a big Spector fan.

Excellent bass!

My first Spector and I couldn't be happier. Substantial playing right out of the box and the action is perfect. Wide range of tones available and would not change a thing about it!
