Incredible pedal. If you're in the market... buy it.
Let me strat by saying that as usual my Sales Rep Kris Eckman is awesome and always super helpful. Thank you for all your help kris! Ok onto the pedal. I have been using envelopes as long as I have been playing (about 30 years) and I have tried every one of them out there at some point (Mu-tron, Meatball, etc.). Evenmtually, I ended up resting on a 1973 MXR (mustard Yellow) envelope… read more that gave me 20 great years of use. I was feeling it was time to retire the old guy so I strated looking again. I had zero luck finding one that fit my needs (Garcia and Funk sounds), decent price point, and features. I oredred the Spectrum figuing if I hated it I could just reutnr it. I did it before the the fender one, so wjhy try it again. This pedal... is incredible. Seriously, I love it more then my ol' MXR. It reacts beautifully to picking, and can easily be used in more aggressive or softer playing styles. It literally gives you 6 presets to use (naturally the Mutron copy is my favorite) that are editable via a phone app (still working this out, but looking forward to tweeking this thing). All in all this is a great pedal. Buy it and try it. You have nopthing to lose.
You want it? You got it
Hear a filter sound you like? It's in this pedal. It sounds good out of the box but give it the respect it deserves and get in there and get your hands dirty. It's editor is pretty much endless, and goes from classic p-funk all the way to nasty unexplored growly octave sweeps. It's a winner, this one.
Awesome pedal
I absolutely love this pedal, you can get so many different sounds,I would recommend it
One of a kind!
There are a lot of good filter type pedals out here but the spectrum sets itself apart from the crowd. Watch some demos on YouTube or on Sweetwater and see for yourself. This pedal works and sounds amazing... a dream for stirring creativity. Truly inspiring!
Initial impressions
This review is initial impressions as I have only had pedal for a short time. I got this pedal to replace an EH Bassballs that I was underwhelmed with. Right out of the box I like the three presets. This has made this three pedals in one, which is why I like my MXR Chorus deluxe. I am having mixed emotions on the ability to tweak the settings via app software. I feel like… read more I may get lost in tweaking overload. But once I find those three sounds and set them I'll be good. The pedal feels sturdy and well built. There is so much flexibility that you definitely get some bang for your buck. It's got me looking at the other pedals they offer. My initial response is I would definitely recommend this pedal
