Picked this up for fun, ran it through a 4x12, totally expected something tame for practice, almost blew the windows off the house. That being said, there is some small range you can dial this amp to where it will be quiet enough for practice, but forget that. This thing is built for way more than that. Through the sag and tone controls, you can basically dial in a whole spectrum… read more of rage (from fat grungy metal tones to those wonderful high gain screamy tones). Overall, got way more than I bargained for, great product!

Great sounding compact amp head! used this at practice recently and it sounded over the top really enjoying this purchase from sweetwater and highly recommend this product.

I received my Spirit of Metal today. Immediately plugged it into a 4x12 Orange cab. I barely had the volume knob turned and this thing was seriously powerful and loud. I turned up the gain a bit more and was getting very heavy metal sound out of this. I only had a few minutes to try it out before getting back to my work but I can already tell that I will want to try the Spirit of… read more Rock and the Vintage versions at some point. At $239 this is well worth taking a shot to see if you like it. Darius gave me superb service as always. The head shipped quickly. I'm going to love this new toy.
