The Squier classic vibe 60s jazz bass is a great bass for the price. The neck plays vary smooth, the sound is really nice and it just feels good setting on my knee. I put some flat wound strings on it and lowered the action a little and it's just a great instrument. Also buying from Sweetwater makes buying anything vary easy. Thanks Mitch!

I decided that I was going to learn how to play the bass. I have music background but no guitar/bass experience. I did a lot of research and read many reviews and decided on the Squier CV 60's Jazz Bass. The guitar is beautiful. I have received several compliments on it from friends. I bought this to dabble in bass playing. Pretty amazing what you can get for $400.00 now. It is flawless. Set up and ready to play right out of the box. sounds great. The pickups are well balanced. Can't think of anyway it could be better.

Bass Player chose this bass for best of 2020 along with several other much more expensive basses. That's says a lot for a bass that is under $500F

Set up was right on out of the box thanks to Sweetwater. Bass is a joy to play with punchy tone. Passive j-bass electronics are simple but let the bass sit perfectly in a band mix. Quality finish and hardware is excellent. Highly recommended.
