Really love this bass. Great tone with roto sound 77 flat would jazz strings. Great metal or psychedelic rock tone. Plays very well.

Please take my review for what it is. I am primarily a guitar player who wanted to add a cheap bass to my collection of instruments. I have played bass on and off again over the years but it was never my main instrument. For me the value to cost ratio earned this bass 5 stars. The build quality appears outstanding. I cannot find a single flaw in the construction or components… read more of my bass. I really like the feel of the neck and the frets are well dressed and there is no sharp edges. The bass looks great and does not appear "cheap" at all. I received the bass well set up and intonated. The action was pretty much perfect out of the box. The pickup is much better than I hoped it would be in such an affordable bass. The volume and tone knobs each work and are very responsive. (I have had cheap instruments where the tone knob does nothing) Sweetwater service was amazing as always. Received the bass well packaged and secure. Overall, an outstanding value. It actually makes me want to check out the other classic vibe guitars and basses in the series.
