Take a ride on the Bad Horsie, you won't regret it!

Almost bought the Dunlop Kirk Hammitt Signature Model Wah (amazing pedal), though after extensive research I ended up with the Morley Bad Horsie. Once I jumped on the Bad Horsie I didn't want off! Hop in the saddle of the Bad Horsie then rock back and forth into musical bliss! Much smoother than my Cry Baby without wondering if it's on or off. The glow in the dark lettering looks read more sweet in the studio and is also UV reactive. The grip tape keeps me from falling off the Bad Horsie. Our band is producing some new material and the Bad Horsie has become a part of it. Trust me, you WANT a Bad Horsie...

Thank You Morley, Steve Vai, and Sweetwater

I had a Dunlop 535q that loved to squeak. I suspect I had been sold a floor model *FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY - NOT SWEETWATER* but regardless, I had lost my faith in Dunlop's design. I got a refund for that pedal and immediately ordered my replacement (The Bad Horsie) from Sweetwater. This is the wah pedal I was meant to have. For me, this is how a Wah pedal should feel when you read more step on it. It is not a toe tapper, it is a good step. This is how a Wah pedal should sound. It does not suck tone away from other pedals. It sounds amazing on its own. I love the switchless activation. I also really appreciate the glow in the dark technology. I never step on my pedalboard at night anymore. I just recently became a fan of Steve Vai (through Frank Zappa) and my appreciation for him has grown further from owning this pedal. I definitely want to thank Morley and Sweetwater for the high quality work and customer service. If I only had one pedal to play with, this is it.

I hadn't owned a wah pedal since the 80s, the bad old days of unreliable parts. Back then, having a wah in the chain noticeably muffled the tone when not in use. I experimented with it, but I abandoned it long ago. Now we have the Morley optical switchless wahs - no more broken pots. And true bypass - no more robbery of tone. And it delivers vintage "I Ain't Superstitious" or read more modern "Surfing With The Alien" tones. The contour mode allows plenty of tonal options. Ownership advice: - it sounds great between the guitar and the amp, NOT in the effects loop; there, it boosts the preamp gain too much because there is no input level control. In 'front' of the amp delivers the desired sound. - this wah has a spring loaded off return; it will not sit 'on', it can only sit 'off'. So if you need a preset wah position for a song, you might want to look at the Morley Lock Wah. - there is an internal set screw for the 'off' delay time. Use a jeweler's Phillips head screwdriver to find your preferred on-to-off delay period. I like it about 1/8th turn from the factory setting towards a longer delay time.
