This pedal has some great options. I have not tried the TonePrint options yet, but just changing the Dry/Sub/Sub2/Up volumes can give you a myriad of sounds, including some very organ-like tones. It's a fun pedal and combines well with OD/distortion/fuzz/wah/auto-wah pedals. I would say if I were playing out, I would not bring it because it is not something you can use for more… read more than an odd solo or song, but it's a good one to add to the practice room pedal board to mix things up, or for some studio work.

I've tried a few other octave pedals in this price range and the TC Electronics Sub-n-Up is hands down my favorite. Tracks very well, has a 3 position switch for on the fly tone shaping, controls for one octave down, two octave down, an octave up and a dry blend and the awesome ability to shape your sound with the toneprint software. Super amazing pedal. Great tweak ability, specially with the tone print option which to me is like sorcery. For just over a bill, you have countless of setting ready to sub your tonal range. I don't believe TC has a bad pedal out there and this one is no exception. Really happy with my purchase!
