Keeley synth 1
I had watch some videos so I had a good idea what it was WOW what a piece of gear You have to like synth sounds. This thing really delivers it is not for the shy or timid it produces real synth sounds. With the 3 different wave forms in the rocker switch & the filter sweep knob & chaos switch you can produce a lot of different [KOOL] synth sounds. NO presets you… read more have controll over all sounds. AS allwas very pleased with Sweetwater and the people [sale & shipping ] the whole TEAM Thank you for another FUN TOY Dennis A
Awesome random sounds
I was looking for a pedal that I could easily use to make some synth sounds for a live set up. While the Keeley, has some amazing sounds and it is really fun to use. It felt really random even with Chaos mode turned off. If you are looking for variation and lack of control then this pedal is for you.
Yup. Addictive.
As a present for helping friends record an album, they got me this. I wouldn't have gotten this for myself as I have several devices that do 'synth' things, but ... I am a Keeley fan, so I was definitely interested in checking it out. After an hour or so of extremely fun noodling, I have to admit how cool this thing is. In short, its the intersection between a 'slow gear', an… read more octave, a fuzz, a wah and some synth waveforms. It is glitchy as hell at times, and that's a huge part of its appeal to me. It responds to playing style and dynamics in unexpected ways. The release envelope seems to be intentionally open ended. Held notes can scatter off in weird directions as one sustains them. I was pushing the dirty end of a Friedman DS Synergy module and the reactions between the distortion and this pedal are satisfyingly bold. Mixing just a subliminal amount of this in below distorted chords is also a great nuance producer. In short, its going to be on recordings all over the place. You may not recognize it as a 'synth', and that is just dandy.
