Love this Taylor ebony wood slide. It is lightweight and comfortable. The sound is a little bit warmer, meaning it does not sound quite as twangy as glass or steel. I do not need to use a guitar with the strings raised when using this slide so I like the fact I can pick up my guitar of choice. Everyone will have an opinion as to what is the best type of slide just like everyone… read more has their opinion of which is the best guitar strings, so having more than one type of slide gives you options for producing different sounds. My slide of choice right now is this ebony wood slide because I like the warmer tone but it will not completely replace my glass or my steel slide but it is a great addition.
