Does what it says!
At home I use this as a clean amp with my pedal board and it works and sounds great. Yesterday I played it with just a tube screamer into a random 1x12 with a vintage 30 beside another guitar player who had a 50w 2x12 big name tube amp. The little orange held its own in every way!
I love it
For such a small piece of gear, This thing is loud. It sounds like my Orange Crush Pro 120, But clearer. My only complaint is that it's just one channel. The two volume knobs are for a volume boost and that's it. I guess that's why my distortion pedals exist, though...
Oranges are better then lemons
My brother has a micro dark terror that he has sworn by for years. I live in an apartment and wanted something that I could use at low volumes but also maybe use for low key gigs and smaller venues. When I saw they were releasing a pedal version of the micro terror I knew my search had ended. This thing is amazing! It gets way loader then I would ever need it to get, goes from sparkling… read more clean to dirty crunch, has a amazingly wide eq range for only having one tone knob, and has a headphone out. All in a tiny footprint Its so small and lightweight I was able to mount it under my pedalboard. So now my pedalboard has a built in portable amp w/tube preamps that takes up literally no space or real estate. I can grab my board, plug into a cab and be ready to go! Great product would highly recommend. Is definitely an orange and not a lemon.
Love this little amp
When this unit was released I really didn't think much about it, but when I realized I could you it to run my Helix HX Stomp into my Mojotone 1x12 cab, I jumped on it. I have been so impressed just playing this unit by itself that I hardly use my Helix. Good cleans and nice distorted tones and cleans up with the volume on my strat, which I love! Great value and footprint
I'm using this with my SYN-1 pre-amp system for an insane versatile portable rig. This little amp sounds fantastic. I tried some other 'amp in a pedal' before deciding on this. It was one of the only ones around this price range that had not only a great power amp, but pre-amp section with effects loop. Even compared to some of the newer Seymour Duncan power stage amps at over twice… read more the price, this thing easily holds its own. I only docked half a star for headphone implementation. First, it doesn't disable the speaker output when you plug headphones in. Second, the cab sim on the lineout/headphones just doesn't sound good to me. I wish you could disable the cab sim if you wanted to. A warning too, the fx return bypasses the volume controls unless you use the amps send. This means you can't really bypass the pre-amp unless your pre-amp has a master volume. No points docked for this, but useful information.
