After waiting for about 6 weeks due to shortage my Vox Wah-Wah 847-A pedal arrived which brought back my memories when I was just a kid living behind the Iron Curtain in Europe and someone got me one from Austria.This one looks exactly like the one from 1970's I will try this one after I get me my new amp, hopefully soon.My Sweetwater engineer, Cameryn Wright did an excellent job… read more by informing me about my order status and he even called me home to keep me in the loop. He is awesome and very professional who knows his stuff. In the same order I also received Shure MS 58 microphone, Ibanez TS-9 effect pedal and several instrument cables. This thing rocks!!! It's quiet and works well in my signal chain. Great tonal characteristics. It's just an absolute blast to play and built like a tank!! Jimi Hendrix, SRV, and John Frusciante at your feet! Love it!

It's a Vox wah pedal, and it does exactly what you expect. I'm using it on a new pedalboard for a typical bedroom player setup. It works well, and of course, you can pretend to be Jimi while playing 'Voodoo Chile' and flexing that wah like crazy... It's pretty quiet. I do use a good power supply (a 1Spot, also from Sweetwater), which helps, and noiseless pickups on both my old… read more Strat Plus, and new Am. Ultra Tele. You can't really go wrong. Oh, if you're a super pedal nerd, there's a good video on YouTube on how to mod this model of Vox wah (487-A) to include an LED and true bypass, if you're into that sort of thing. It's really quiet with only a couple of pedals, though, so no real noticeable issues for me...
