TC Helicon voice live play is an amazing little unit that allows any singer to open up very creative doors utilizing great factory preset effects for ones voice. You also have the ability to edit your own settings to suit your vocal style. Great selection of genre settings to choose from so anyone can pick and choose where they fit best or simply experiment around in a genre that… read more may be foreign to them. Myself as a many decades pro drummer, I've stepped out into a singing world very foreign to me.... but with lotsa practice on my part this little TC really helps to give me a more professional sound and feeling to my voice. However I still have to learn to sing correctly on my own. This TC won't make you sing like a pro, it just enhances the creativity. Its like adding whipped cream and syrup and sprinkles to your ice-cream, however a person still needs to start with the ice-cream and that of course would be how you are carrying a note in pitch and key in the first place! In closing, many of the sounds are very real in their enhancements and not just a gimmicky robot type stuff! Go get this! You'll be glad you did! .... Sincerely Bob

Plenty of blank presets. I liked the full octave up harmony for backup at various levels. Chorus multiple voice options provide nice voice thickening. Now that I'm exploring DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software, I will no doubt reshape my presets to reflect similar signature and style. I didn't have much success with the harmony settings, but MIDI input to the AUX input might… read more enhance accuracy there. Some critiques I read were harsh. I'm sure for enough investment, they might find happiness, but I get enhanced sound in the park. Hint: Keep effects light for best results.

Have used this unit for years and after wearing the first one out from constant use i came back again. Just can't beat it for all around performance and price. Ability to download new effects is great as well. Very flexible. Can use basic settings or program every song w custom effects, up to you. Intuitive controls.

Would recommend going to Youtube and watch some instructional videos of how to use this. Once you have seen the videos, it is very easy to master. I have had mine for 3 months, and still finding great vocal effects to use.

What a great way to maximize vocal recording. I can choose to spend timemaking a new mix or use all the most popular mixes from well known artists. Great product!
