This thing is beyond excellent. Any tone you're looking for can definitely be found in this thing from British to high gain stuff its got it all. I can see some people having issue with it not really having a squeaky clean but thats not what I'm after. Dont get me wrong the clean sounds good its just not a 1970s Club and Country. Extremely versatile and also handles pedals very… read more well. I cant think of an area where it falls short. A bit on the pricy side but worth every penny. My search for a perfect amp is over. This things the boss, you wont be disappointed.
Perfect tone machine after a slight mod!
This is the best beast! I was looking for a tube head with a small form factor that covered British and modern American hi-gain tones as well as a good clean channel. Ultimately this is it! However, out of the box, it needed a little help to achieve a proper clean channel. This thing is so beastly that the clean channel was rather overdriven even at 2 on the input gain. Had to crank… read more the master and set the input level super low to get clean sound. I ordered a Groove Tubes 12ay7 to put in the V1 (first preamp slot) instead of the 12Ax7 that came stock. It's great now! I can now put the gain up at noon and have a clean sound and the gain ll channel still has ridiculous amounts of gain. I also tried a 5751 and a gold lion 12ax7. Both were an improvement but I like the 5751 and the 12ay7 the best. I now have the most epic tones and a very sonically configurable amp!
