I bought a AC5R!

I went for the the top of the AC series by buying an AC5R. After having a quick setup done and experimenting with the electronics on board I have to say that I think I made a great choice. Rosewood construction with the Ventian body and a smaller body than my Martin D18 adds up to more relaxed playing and reaching over the larger Martin body. Thank you Sweetwater and especially read more Logan who made this an easy ride for me. Got a free t-shirt as a token of their appreciation! Check out my video of some playing fresh out of box (after the 24hr waiting period of course).

Been playing since I was a kid. Just turned 65. Owned lots of guitars in my time. Currently have a 00018 and an OM28. Love them both. Needed an acoustic with electronics for church. Did not like the Taylor ES system. Tried this budget minded Yamaha and loved it immediately. Solid top and laminate b/s is fine for a travel guitar. Can not believe the well balanced tone. read more I find myself playing it more than my others. Now I'm a fan of a more narrow nut width. Now I'm very interested in the high end Yamaha acoustics. The fit and finish are perfect except for the nut. The slots were too high on a few strings and too low on another. Had a bone hut installed and this guitar is just perfect. This is an amazing value for the money!

A welcomed workhorse added to the stable.

I write on Acoustic as many also do. But I had always been an electric player onstage, since I prefer heavy genres of music. But I also am a fan of acoustic styles like Bluegrass and Classical.I had started picking up gigs with an acoustic act, that has picked up more gigs.My main acoustics are aged and vintage Gibson's and 000's.Age has made them a little temperamental to winter read more gigs. I picked up this Yamaha to be my gigging guitar.I am now recording it and writing on it as well. It has songs in it. If you understand that.I am now considering an AC5R from my experience with this one.Worth double it's price in play-ability and tone, both plugged and unplugged.Great neck, stable, easy to use preamp for live tone.Win Win!Thank You Aaron Tremain and Sweetwater

Epic guitar, lovely sound.

Been playing it live 3 concerts and in the recording studio. It sounds great for fingerpicking, soft strumming and rythm in the studio. Plugged in it's got a way better sound than my Taylor and Seagull. This is now my first choise in both studio and on stage. Great neck feel too. Been touring for 10 years playing alot of guitars live. The built in pre amp got great easy working read more good sounding features. By far the best under 1000 dollar guitar I've tried and I've tried them all more or less.I bought the 2017 model which has got a complete new bigger sound with different bracing etc.

Great Guitar and at a good price
