Very good

I own a Yamaha NTX 1200 R and a Yamaha silent guitar; both are very good and highly recommended. But I needed a guitar for daily use and practicing on the road because I am not at home very often. To be honest, this Yamaha is a great playing acoustic guitar and offers much value for the price. I can`t tell you why there is this large price-difference between the NTX 1 and the NTX read more 1200. The NTX 1 sounds good, strings don`t buzz, tuners work properly, and the pickup does what it is expected to do. If you are looking for a reliable "working horse" acoustic guitar I`d recommend buying this model.

I've played a Yamaha FG401 since I was 10. That was 27 years ago. It still plays and sounds awesome, so when I started looking for a nylon string guitar I knew I wanted a Yamaha. I'm not a classical guitarist so breaking with traditional design is fine by me. The cutaway and pickup on the NCX1 are wonderful additions to a guitar that would otherwise already be a great acoustic. read more Also this guitar has a truss rod. I know most classical guitars don't have truss rods and it drives me nuts. After lowering the action a bit and adjusting the neck this guitar plays like a dream. It was set up very well when I received it, but every player has their own desired feel. I love the sound of the nylon strings and I was surprised by how it sounds through an amp. It's powerful. The guitar arrived in 3 days packed up better than anything I've ever seen from a music store. Thank you guys.
