A SCREAMER FOR THE REST OF US

I own half a dozen different "Tube Screamers™" including a recent Ibanez issue. With the release of this SCREAMER, JHS has given the world an affordable quality distortion with a wider range of tones, amazing touch sensitivity, both types of Screamer distortion (via the toggle switch), all packed in an easy to use stompbox. I own ALL the 3-Series by JHS and they're all good, this read more one is a new favorite. Cleans-up when you turn your guitar volume down, lots of delicious crunch and scream tone. As soon as I saw it I ordered it. JHS once again proves they know pedals. Good music to all!

JHS Series 3 Screamer

Arguably the two most versatile TS options from the Bonsai pedal are here: the TS9 and JHS strong mod, one a terrific base OD tone or gritty clean boost, the other an outstanding high headroom and cleaned up screamer circuit that boosts exceptionally well or offers a shiny cleaner TS style overdrive. And it's very affordable and simple to dial in. As well built as any other JHS read more pedal I've used too.

This thing screams

Beautiful, full sounding pedal. Tones are clear, warm, and bright when it needs to be. For the price, its hard to beat. It does what it's supposed to do.

Great TS Pedal

Lots of volume on tap. Great mid bump, has a smooth and crisp tone. Sounds like a cross between a TS9 and a TS10 to my ears. The toggle switch brings some extra presence when toggled up and a bit more warmth when toggled down. Sounds great with the volume and drive around 10 o'clock and stacked with a low gain transparent OD. Overall killer TS pedal at a great price. Thanks read more so much!

Time to retire my other screamers

Already a fan of the 3 series, I snatched this up as soon as they were released. The "-" mode can get very close to a stock TS-9, but you have to turn down the tone a good deal. It makes the TS-9 sound muddy because the Screamer is more hi-fidelity. The "+" mode sounds to me like a mix between a SD-1 and the TS808, but with a better mid response and waaaay more total frequency read more response. It has that chewyness of the SD-1, but the 'grains' are smaller. Definitely a favorite new OD flavor for me. Tried it with both a SSS Strat and a Les Paul into a Deluxe Reverb Reissue on the verge of breakup. Very pleased!
