Best overdrive pedal on the market!

This is the best overdrive pedal on the market in my opinion. It stacks extremely well with K-type pedals. As with other J Rockett pedals, the top mounted jack ports help a lot with pedal board placement. This pedal sounds great with single coils and humbuckers. If you are considering this pedal, I suggest you buy it. You will not be disappointed!

I hesitated writing this review as most are all the same. However, after 20+ years of playing and trying numerous pedals, this is the best I've ever owned. It delivers exactly as promised. Great AC/DC crunch tones. If you have a boost pedal you can use for solos. Other than the Z Vex Box of Rock (which Sweetwater sadly does not carry), the .45 Caliber is one of the best JTM-45 OD pedals on the market. It is markedly different than the JHS Charlie Brown in that the Charlie Brown has much less gain/aggression overall... the Charlie Brown is more of a "Hendrix JTM-45" OD where the .45 Caliber is more of an "AC/DC JTM-45" OD. It stacks well… read more with clean boosts, and it can clean up exceptionally well with your volume knob.

If you want that classic AC/DC sound this will get you there for sure perfect it's always on for me great classic tones

I traded in the Hot Rubber Monkey for this one. The HRM is a great "Robben Ford" pedal, but it only seems to like bridge pickups and single-note stuff. This one is a lot more versatile and useful. It goes from clean JTM 45 to Angus Young to early Van Halen. Great crunch tone for power chords, and it likes neck pickups as well. Very happy with this pedal!
