...you forget it's there, until it's time to recharge the battery, which is way longer than a gig or a jam session lasts. Most small stages you step onto, the DI boxes are downstage, and the AC outlets are on the upstage wall, leaving the space between—the space where you will stand—nice and empty. Your pedalboard, if powered by AC, has to muddle up that nice clean space on read more the stage with a big old extension cord running upstage. The 529i is built like a little blue tank, weighs hardly anything, and comes with all the connectors you need (as long as you only need center-negative feeds). And it keeps your area of the stage—God knows there's little enough of it, most of the time—neat and tidy, ready for your godlike stage moves. BTW, if you couple this with a good wireless system...now, that's freedom.

Does its job, powerful & bonus with the battery operation. One thing to note: You need to turn on the outlets with power button on top. So, it needs to be accessible.

Quiet pedals, happy amp

I purchased the Mission Engineering 529i in an effort to quite noisy pedals and it does just that. I was wall-wort/daisy chaining power before and pedal noise made my pedals almost unusable. This made my pedal train so quiet that I'm actually hearing all the nuances of the pedal effects that I'd never heard before! No wires running to the wall are a HUGE bonus. Pull the board out read more of it's case, plug in my amp, play. Couldn't be simpler. I love the charge indicator lights.

I Love This Thing

This makes me smile every time I unpack my pedalboard to play. One less extension cord running underfoot! The power supply seems totally stable. I mounted this on top of my board so I can keep an eye on the "fuel tank," and (so far at least) the energy storage is more than adequate. It takes a while to recharge, so when the State of Charge drops by 40% ("aka" two LEDs) I plug read more it in. I've been running five pedals (including a tuner) on my board and feel completely comfortable bumping that up by at least one more.

A game changer!

I bought this for my acoustic/electric guitar pedal board because I had to play a gig where electricity/trip hazards were an issue: not with this! I love that you can literally pick it up and go to play anywhere where you don't have easy access to power! I use this with a Bose S1 battery pa speaker. On average I get roughly two 3 hour gigs on one charge or one 4 hour gig. If it read more does happen to lose charge no problem: plug it in and you are good to go! Charge time is relatively quick too (within a few hours give or take). Also the battery charges as you are playing! Kudos to Mission Engineering for making this a game changer for gigs! I use this all the time and it charges quickly. Handles humidity fine and colder weather no problem. Another great feature: pedals sound cleaner. No more competing with plugging into "dirty power" or dealing with "power spikes" at gigs. Also records well in the studio well too: no noise issues! I will be getting another one soon for my electric guitar pedal board!
