I am a huge clean boost fanatic, I know that I can turn the amp gain up but clean boost sounds better to me especially on D.I. Based pedalboards. I have I think 7 clean boosts currently in my collection and this one will never leave my board. Why? Because it literally is just as good as using the gain knob on your amp, it adds thick saturation and cleans up the low end. I actually… read more wouldn't call it a clean boost but it cleans up the tone in the perfect way. I have it as an always on pedal going into my JHS Charlie Brown, I wish I could upload audio clips to here because with a boost added, I'm in high gain metal territory that works on 6 or 7 string guitars. But then without a boost it's a classic Marshallish tone. Anyways, if you buy this pedal you're probably going to be selling your other clean boosts FWI.

This pedal does exactly what it says it will do- I bought it to push my tube pre-amp into more breakup and add some extra sparkle for instrumental breakouts when playing solo (without becoming overly distorted). Simple, cool, clean, and truly made in the USA! This was my second EQD pedal so far, definitely not my last.
