JRockett Blue Note Tour Seies
Built quality was ok, but it has a rough appearance Like it's not finished to be exactHad to struggle to install battery, for some reasonThere wasn't enough space for the metal cover To get reinstalled once the battery was in.Very faint gain or boost for that matter I just didn't think this little metal box , that's what it looks like , was worth the price tag.
Great EQ on this OD
I'm told all pedals color the sound. Some pedals are more obvious in this regard. I was looking for a Blues Breaker type of OD. I wanted a "transparent" light OD. I use a Pedal Train Nano so space is a priority. Because of this, top mounted jacks give me an extra pedal on the board. This Blue Note has fit the bill perfectly. It's not a high gain pedal but I just wanted a beautiful… read more light break up. This pedal delivers! The fat knob is helpful when switching from a Telecaster to a hum bucking guitar. It shapes the tone to fit various guitar & amp combos. I'm happy with this purchase. I can't always say that but it's nice when it happens.
Wish I Had A Thesaurus -
OK! I have a problem. I have an addiction to overdrive pedals. I very seldom ever find an overdrive that I don't like (there have been a few). And this pedal is no different with the exception that it makes my top five list. This pedal offers low gain, adds color and character to the sound. It is definitely going to stay on my board. I have been looking for a pedal like this and… read more I wish I had started with this one. It would have saved me a few dollars. I wish I had a thesaurus maybe I could've done a better job at describing this pedal. If you're looking for a boost pedal... Look elsewhere. It doesn't push the front of the amp that hard but, it seems to wrap the notes with warm fuzzy goodness :-)
A truly awesome, unique pedal
I didn't know what to expect. I saw it on one of the "What's on your Pedalboards" with Mitch and thought, might give it a try. At first I thought hmmm, not a lot of gain, but gain is not what this pedal is meant to produce. It's a very low gain pedal. It rounds out the overall sound and makes the amp sound even better. Not to mention that went using this in cooperation with… read more other pedals (fuzz, OD, Distortion), it really makes them all come alive. Without this pedal everything just sounds flatter. With it, everything comes alive. Really an awesome pedal to have in your arsenal.
Incredible Pedals
Most guitarists probably haven"t tried a J Rockett pedal yet. That"s a shame. They make some of the cleanest, sweetest overdrive pedals available. I own every pedal from a hand wired TS, a Timmy, a KLON, a KoT, a Bluesbreaker, you name it. The J Rockett is my go-to everytime. Organic, high definition tones that don"t color your sound or diminish it.
