Love this pedal! I love that I can attach a Y-cable to my volume and run it through the boost to customize the amount of boost with the boost dial and the heel to toe positions of the volume pedal. It doesn't change my tone...at...all. Plus, it's a Vertex pedal... I've never been in the least bit let down by Vertex or The Rig Doctor! I would also add that sweetwater is so great… read more to work with. Thx Dustin!

Tough to get excited about a boost pedal except this one excels at what it is supposed to do. You can use a boost to goose the front end of your amp to push it firther in to break up territory or at the end of the signal or in an effects loop where it turns up everything overall. That's where I like it. Hook up an expression pedal and it effectively becomes a volume control for… read more your rig without any tone "suck". It just works, it's built like a tank and when it comes to solo time, you will be heard.

I have always used a compressor to boost my volume for solos. However I needed something better to use in the effects loop of the Bluguitar Amp1 for increased solo volume, but it had to be clean and not color my tone through the signal chain. This boost pedal is amazingly transparent. I love the built in effects loop. This opens up so many other possibilities of using this in your signal chain.
