Sounds amazing, solidly built and easy on the eyes
I needed something to supplement my Blackstar stack especially for lead distortion. Vox made an amazing pedal that is difficult not to look at with the unique display. It is solid and the tone shaping is great. I am glad I bought it and recommend it. Of course Sweetwater had a great price and the shipping is always fast. I may purchase the Copperhead next and add to the collection:)
No buyers remorse here!
Had been on the market for months reviewing and shopping for a quality preamp that would deliver tight, modern, high gain signals without all the muddy low ends. The Victory V4 kraken preamp and the Seymour Duncan Palladium were amongst some of the other preamps I was considering, but at price points over $300 - $400, my options were limited. Then after a visit to a local music store… read more I came across the affordable Vox Cutting Edge preamp, plugged it into a Boss Katana 100 watt amp using a Ibanez Rg series and couldn't believe the tight punch this pedal delivered. Was able to easily recreate tons of tones from modern (Djent) bands including AFTER THE BURIAL, PERIPHERY and GLASS CLOUD. Just as impressive is this pedal's Cab simulator, I am able to plug straight into my DAW and using the pedals EQ, channel in full sounding crisp guitars. Can't axplain how convenient this device is. Will definitely have a permanent place on my pedal board.
