Great pedal!

We used this on a recording my band did for hte guitar solo (Soundcloud, chocd2014 "LA Trip". It was the perfect effect - some overdrive, and a subtle "wobble" effect that is similar to chorus or flange, but not at the same time. It has lots of other tricks up it's sleeve: it's a great transparent overdrive all by itself, a nice echo/slap back or chorus, guitar doubling, etc. read more It does take some tweaking to get what you year in your head, but it's worth it.

Everybody Raves

First, let me say that I haven't found a bad sound on this no matter what combination of settings I use. And, believe me, if you need to find a way to make a pedal sound bad, I'm your guy. All of the hype and great reviews seem to be justified. I bought this to use in its most subtle applications. For example, I've currently got it in front of a Quilter Superblock US. The saturation read more is cheated in just enough to give the tone a little hair. The delay/modulation side is set to "thicken" the tone (very short delay—not really audible as delay—and teensy bit of modulation) for lead lines. That's what I'm using as a live big-band-jazz rig. (As a side note, the Quilter keeps up just fine with a pretty loud drummer and three full horn sections.) Having said that, I've used both the saturation and modulation in some of their most extreme settings for other projects. They all sound musical and organic. I've even used it in tracking a digital Wurlitzer to make it sound more, um, like a real Whirly. It was like magic. I might be over enthusiastic, but I can see myself using this to track almost everything. Maybe the enthusiasm for the new toy will wear off, but the honeymoon for this piece of gear has lasted longer than for any other purchase (excepting, of course, a couple of guitars).

Perfect for small pedal boards.

It occurred to me while experimenting and exploring the Decco, that because has so many subtleties and uses it would be a waste surrounded by five or more pedals, maybe even less. The Double Tracker section may not seem real versatile when noodling at bedroom level and quickly running each knob through it's range, it reveals the different shades best when you're turned up a bit read more and playing with a band. The same could be said about the Tape Saturation section. For bedroom noodling I found it pretty mediocre and nondescript as a clean boost or an actual overdrive, because that's not what it's for. Live, a complete different story. The overdrive should be used very subtly and you hear it like compression that your "compressor" pedal will never do. And the tone it imparts seasons things nicely. Some may recognize the texture from recordings that you love as these techniques are still used.

Oddly specific yet versatile pedal

Tape saturation and doubling effects- two things almost no one asked for. Yet, it's so cool. Manipulating the "second deck" can give you flanging, chorus, slap back, and doubling. Add in some tape saturation and you can really get some cool tones. I use it mainly for subtle grind and slap delay but there are so many tones when you experiment with it.

Clean Saturation!

I usually have a hate/hate relationship with OD/distortion pedals and I'm not always patient with chorus/delays. I like clean but I like a bit of whatever thrown in there.Apparently, this pedal is the one I've been looking for. I guess that tape saturation is what I needed. Just a little bit of whatever and a bit of quality delay and I'm happy.
