Never been happier with a pedal purchase. Added this after my TS9 pedal and my tone is extremely dynamic now. This is so amazing I couldn't be happier.

Budget Rock Tone

I have a Bugera Tube 5W head through a 4X12 cab and adding my new Bogner Ecstasy Red Mini pedal to my pedal board did the trick. I play 70's rock and have been trying to get that Ronnie Montrose tone like "Rock Candy" from his first album for years. Now with the Bogner Ecstasy Red Mini pedal I was able to get that budget tone! So, if you are looking for that high cost rock tone, but only have a small budget like me, get this pedal! It will blow you away. Great Bogner Tones!

Steve Lukather and Steve Vai tones in a small pedal! This really captures that elusive Bogner Ecstasy distortion and overdrive tone. Great saturation, juicy low-mids with a smooth top end. It's also a very small pedal that looks great on my pedal board. Worth every penny! If you like the Bogner sound or are a Vai or Lukather fan, this is your pedal.

A small high gain wonder

I was really impressed by my Bogner Blue larger model and had wanted to get the Red high gain but I had a Revv G4 and thought it would just be over kill. I had to sell off some pedals for some unexpected bills and found myself needing the high gain pedal again. I was not sure the mini pedals of these two would do it for me as you do lose some features and options on them compared… read more to the full size, but, I saw the Red mini on demo price and thought pull the trigger on that one, too good a deal. I should have known given Bogner's rep for superior product design and tones it would have to sound pretty good. And to compete w my lost Revv G4 it would have to. Features of this smaller than you would think puppy, are active +/- EQ controls, the usual switch EQ mods, gain stage +, and the Variac setting, also a mid freq center pot adjust. I fired this puppy up and was immediately surprised at the thick and articulate gain structure it has. You really cannot get a bad tone no matter where anything is set, it just cranks, cleans up well w roll off as well. Never been a huge fan of smaller mini pedals but Xotic and now Bogner have forced me to change my tune on them. (The EP Booster remains the best thing I have ever got for my guitar around $100) I am still not opting for the el cheapo pedals as that is somewhat defeating on an expensive guitar to plug into some lo fi crappy headroom pedal. I was also amazed how quiet this puppy is compared to other high gains I have. Anyway, it roars, huge sound and tones out of really small pedal which has only made me wonder of I should not get the fullsize red before they become discontinued. Reinhard Bogner remains the amp genius in my book and his pedals are unique. The mini's and the fullsize pedals, double thumbs up for me.

That’s the pedal!?

Like everyone I am always looking for "that sound" or "that tone", this is on my pedal board now as my main overdrive pedal! It is very responsive, very amp like, and has plenty of gain for me. To me it can do old school rock all the way up to metal! Add a boost and BLAM! Solo"s to blow you away! Now I need 4 grand to buy the amp!
