If I only could choose 1 distortion pedal ( and I really do have 40 or so) this would be my currant fav. To gig or studio record. Wonderful switch to choose different modes. Walrus audio never disappoints. Does all the heavy rock stuff great.

I have been a big fan of Walrus since I picked up an Iron Horse MK2. Comparing side by side for tone, the Iron Horse hits slightly harder. The Eras however allows more tone sculpting. I think the best feature is the blend knob which can help keep your clean signal from getting lost in the distortion. Like the description states, there are five different "stages" you can set,… read more all with varying levels of compression and signal clipping. I tend to find myself switching from settings 3 or 4, but do like the flexibility of having the other settings. This pedal is a fun distortion with a lot of options. I wouldn't replace my Iron Horse, but it pairs well with it. I like gain stacking the Eras before the Iron Horse to get the best tone. All in all, I would recommend it to others who may be interested. I haven't really found anything negative, and I plan on this being a main stay of my chain. Yet again, Walrus keeps producing quality products.

Love the versatility of the eras it gets me the high gain tone that I'm looking for. Walrus hit out of the part again!

Awesome quality perfect Sound catching eye artwork I just love it but thanks to this pedal I build another pedalboard with walrus . Anyway I love this pedal it was love at first sight due the artwork and when I use it just blow my mind , walrus it's meaning of quality good effects and impressive sounds . Thanks to Aaron Tremain best sales engineer.

All 5 modes sound great. With the added blend knob, you can really dial in some cool sounds. The EQ with bass and treble is a bonus, and both work very well. Very usable controls, easy to find and shape a variety of sounds and styles. Definitely digging this new Walrus Audio pedal, and I highly recommend it.
