Excellent dual-function expression pedal
I got this pedal to control MIDI expression from it's dual outputs connecting to pedal inputs on two synthesizers at the same time; a Kurzweil K2700 and DSI Poly Evolver keyboard. The pots for setting minimum throw is a welcome addition, particularly for use with organ sounds. It is functioning perfectly in that capacity and allows me to connect a single pedal instead of two separate… read more pedals. This is important because I have a number of other pedals under my setup to accommodate other keyboards and inputs and need to save room. Along those lines, I'm pleased at the compact nature of the Boss EV-30, which feels perfectly comfortable under my foot and has a nice and smooth but firm throw. I'm also pleased with the solid metal construction which has enough weight to firmly stay put on the ground without moving around. There is nothing I don't like about this pedal.
Go on and Cry Baby
Couldn't be happier with the solid construction and smooth functioning of this stage worthy expression pedal. I bought it for use with a Boss Katana 100 Mk 2 amp. It is easy to use and sounds great. From controlling volume, to acting as a Wah pedal, I am satisfied with this pedal in every way.
Typical Boss pedal
As one would expect from a Boss product, good design, quality build, excellent functionality. I am using it with the Boss Katana Artist and GA-FC foot controller. Works great. As one would also expect, the purchase experience with Sweetwater is always top notch. They are on their game.
Solid and Smooth
I like this. It's a little narrower than the FC7, but it seems a little smoother. The narrowness is not a bad thing. There's plenty of area to find this pedal without looking down. Both are good pedals. This one works well with the MatrixBrute.
Built like a brick s#$!t house.
This does what it says, and definitely well made, solid pedal. I have it connected to my Boss GAFC foot switch to add volume control to my Katana MKII 100. Simple, easy setup and lets the amp shine at its modeling tones with no other pedals.
