All I ever wanted in a Fender 5 string Jazz bass

This bass just nails it! I've had a 5 string Elite for awhile and always felt like it was missing something. It's a nice enough bass but it just didn't capture the Jazz sound and feel for me. B string was ok. But this American Professional II Jazz V has me blown away. The B string is just right for me. Sound and feel makes me happy to play it. I'm picky and often disappointed with… read more Jazz bass models not quite getting it right from Fender to boutique basses. I'm happy and delighted this bass is so good. The neck feels so smooth and right. Anyway, it's an outstanding instrument. Fender got the 5 string Jazz down now, as far as I'm concerned.

Este bajo es increible , es liviano y sobre todo el sonido es incomparable!!! estoy sumamente mas que contento con la comodidad del brazo, el espacio de las cuerdas y el balance ni te digo! el low "B" es muy definido,,, valio la pena pagar cada centavo por este jazz bass.se lo recomiendo a cualquiera por que su versatilidad es incomparable para todo estilo de musica.att Ricky Sanchez

Ordered at the end of September, received it in early December. All along the way I had emails from Sweetwater staff letting me know the status of when Fender was saying they would receive them in stock. My sales engineer was fantastic and I absolutely LOVE the idea that he is there for me if I need questions answered. The bass itself is fantastic! Gorgeous woodgrain showing through… read more the transparent sunburst finish. No issues whatsoever with it. It was even in tune right out of the packaging. The tone is pure classic jazz bass, which is what I was hoping for. This will be my primary bass from now on, and I'm looking forward to many years of rocking this bass!

First and foremost, i absolutely love this bass! The feel and tone on this 5 string is everything I was looking for when i started looking for a new 5 string. Over the past 30 years of playing bass I have migrated to different styles and brands of bass guitars. One of my favorite basses I have held on to was a Fender Jazz Fretless, It took me 20+ years to migrate back to Fender,… read more but this, but I did can not describe the pure of playing this bass. To anyone looking for a new 5 string bass, I would recommend testing this one out. I know everyone has a personal preference about how a bass should feel or sound to you. This Fender Jazz Bass is seriously like he reunion with an old friend that you havnt seen for a long, long time.
