Requires minimal aftermarket work
The most versatile bass I've ever dealt with! Highs are always crisp, lows are never muddy. A common problem I've seen and experienced though: the frets need filed down. Otherwise, you'll have to deal with slight fret buzz or play with high action (like i do anyway)
Very Versatile Bass!
Wide range of tones for any type of music. Ranging from Metal to Jazz. Active EQ is very responsive and musical. Passive mode is a great feature when you want that classic jazz bass tone. Neck is a little wide but that makes it perfect for slapping and it"s really not hard to get used to. The tone and versatility is worth it. My only gripe is that there isn"t a tone knob in passive… read more mode but no biggy. My markbass Head has a high end roll off and in active mode you can still get the same effect.

Pros: Great tone and action right out the box. Great bargain for the price. P-ups were in good position as well.Love the tone of the neck pup and the blend right in the middle.
