A Great Distortion Pedal

Continually impressed with this pedal. I love blending between the two amp models, light crunch to heavy rock n roll with a lot of nice sounds in between. Notes and full chords come through nice and clear with my Quilter amp. Boost with a tube screamer for tight, thrashy metal. MXR really knocked it out of the park with the Dookie Drives and FOD (essentially the Dookie Drive v4). read more Can't wait to see what else they come out with.

FOD drive is one excellent Pedal! This MXR pedal give you plenty of adjustment over the sounds of both the crunch & overdrive. For the price, you won't get better sounds from your paying much more with other manufactured pedals!!! The MXR team hit a home run with the FOD drive

Basically the Dookie Drive...

This is a very good distortion pedal. It can get a bit fizzy on the high end on some amps with crappy speakers, but you can get a lot of versatile sound out of this pedal overall. I like it, and it will be staying on my board. This pedal is basically the unbranded version of the Dookie Drive, and has an extra mid control to boost mids, as opposed to the Dookie Drives push button read more "scoop" feature for mids.

My amazing fiancé bought me one of these for Christmas & I am absolutely blown away. I love & collect MIAB pedals & this is without a doubt not only my favorite Marshall in a box pedal but now one of my favorite distortion units in my collection. You can achieve several different Marshall amps (jcm800 being my favorite) with this one pedal saving me thousands of dollars. This is read more definitely not going back to Sweetwater & will never leave my board.

This pedal rules.

I've got a lot of overdrive and distortion pedals. I mean, a whole lot. Probably something like 20. Sometimes, late at night when I'm lonely, I'll impulse buy a pedal or three from Sweetwater because (1) I love the customer service and (2) I know I can send any of them back if they suck. This one isn't going back. It's going on my board. It's great. Versatile and fun and inspiring. read more One of those pedals that just makes you wanna play guitar all day. I've been playing a Les Paul and this pedal through my Showman Reverb and it basically turns it into a cranked Marshall. IT RIPS. And cleans up nicely with the volume control. Apparently it's a modified Dookie Drive, but I don't know much about that. What I do know is I'm happy I bought this pedal. So there you go. Give it a shot, it's worth it.
