Very musical
Fuzz may be one of the more subjective effects, and tastes and desires in regard to fuzz are highly variable. As a result it may be even more difficult to sift through the reviews and demo videos than most effects. This pedal is exactly what the descriptions and video demos led me to believe it was. A wide range of fuzz sounds from subtle to way over the top. I feel the real sweet… read more spots in most pedals (and guitars and amps for that matter) are in the " in between " spaces when you're tweaking the knobs. In regard to that I found the knobs to be more interdependent than many pedals I've played with. For example if you want more or less fuzz from your dialed in pedal you may need to re-tweak the volume and or bias and maybe the Eq too to get back to the sweet spot. That sounds more of a pain than it is in practice as I found the knobs responded very intuitively to what I wanted to hear. Probably less than an hour of fiddling with it and I could get the sounds I wanted with little to no effort. The active Eq and bias really bring everything together. I love this pedal. The only little quibble I have is I find the power indicator light that close to the switch a bit awkward and wish it was pretty much anywhere else. Still. Great pedal.
GOOD
it is GOOD BUY IT!
Keeley Fuzz Bender
Its just fun. Wouldn't say I do much productive music, but I sure have fun finding sounds. The over tones with this box are great. And when I just want a simple fuzz to fit easily in the mix thats very do able. I also own the Monterey, and plan on keeping these two accomplished fuzzboxes for a long time
Fuzz Bender
I bought this because I never owned a tone Bender type fuzz before. The Keeley Fuzz Bender is a great sounding and tweakable fuzz box. This thing cuts though a live mix very well. Admittedly, I'm more of a fuzz face and big muff guy; but the Fuzz Bender is my go to fuzz box when I need a "tonal palette cleansing." It's just so fun to play through and jam on.
Last FUZZ you’ll ever need...
Hands down one of the best fuzz pedals out there without breaking the bank! If you can't find a usable fuzz tone (multiple fuzz tones) with this pedal you might want to get your hearing checked! Money well spent! Thank you Mr. Keeley!!
