This pedal freakin rocks
I'm blown away by this pedal. You can get an AC/DC crunch out of it up to really high gain. The tone knobs are very responsive and I was really able to dial in my tone. There was a barely perceptible hiss quality to the sound but not enough to knock my rating down from 5 stars. I was able to get the chugs to punch hard and the pinch harmonics to sing. It's built out of metal… read more and seems to be pretty solid. You can't tell from the picture but it sparkles too.
Happy camper
When playing one of those gigs with crappy backline amps you hate. Never fear the g3 is here. Great pedal ,fit and finish are top notch just like the amps..
One of the best overdrives and distortions ever
the tone that you can get with single coils is throaty with punchy highs and i recoment to scoop the mids, i dont know if its just my rig but i like to scoop my mids because it realy shows you how versitle this pedal is, i am considering buying the g8 because although this pedal is realy good with humbuckers, my teles bridge pickup is squaling when i pair the revv g3 with other… read more pedals. one last thing IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A DISTORTION PEDAL GET THIS REVV G3, IF YOU NEED A TRULY UNIQUE TONE GET THE REVV G3, by far my favorite pedal ive bought.
Revv G3
This pedal is remarkable, as it provides a simple overdrive boost if needed, or, amazing gain and distortion with the blue channel, and unreal saturation with the red channel. The type, and amount of distortion you seek is guaranteed to be provided by this pedal.
It’s almost there
This is my first interaction with anything made by Revv. My amplifier resume isn't the longest but consists of Fender, Line 6, Peavey and Mesa. So take it as you will. This pedal has great flexibility for tonal desires with its very useable 3 band EQ and tons of gain on tap to create amazing distortion. But if you're reading this I'm not telling anyone anything new. The way I think… read more it sounds best is in front of a very clean amplifier. When used as a preamp through the FX loop it dulls down and loses that bite it has. If Revv comes out with a new generation or mark it would be awesome to see a presence knob to bring back that tone in the FX loop and a noise gate built in to take away that white noise when the aggression switch is active. Other than that it's next to the most ideal distortion I've ever heard as a stand alone unit without a boost or overdrive (let's face it that's the point of the aggression switch). And it looks awesome in black (even with the pixie dust on it).
