I ordered the version without the expression pedal. I like having a lot of effects but don't want a huge board and am not trying to run too many things at once anyway. I feel like this thing is all I really need. I ended up getting one for my Dad, too. We both are happy with it. Zoom almost always does a great job with their stuff.

The G3Xn does exactly what I needed it for, quick access to pre-programmed effects, ability to customize and create new effects, and an easy pass through for live performances. The zoom G3Xn has great sound quality with many patches and presets. It is very compact and easy to carry around to rehearsals and gigs. Much easier than lugging around a pedal board. Great purchase.

I absolutely love this unit. Its built like a tank and very responsive. If your a tweaker like I am you will never get tired of it - it will keep up with your ever changing ear. The amp models are very distinct and you WILL find hidden gems experimenting with their clean chanells chained behind the distortion models. Very impressed with the cabinet simulators. The compressor is… read more super sweet. The univibe is warm. Great wah. I feel like I hit the lottery every time I play through it. I use it in front of my Katana's clean channel and actually can musically combine the Zoom's effects with the amp effects. Do not underestimate it. You'd be a fool not to throw this into your rig - it will play nice with the other kids. More amps and effects easily downloaded from their website. Is is small and sparse but there is so much gold inside. An absolute insane value I would have to get another if it vanished.
