This thing rules! Pick one up if you are looking for that "Green Overdrive Sound"
I have tried many "Green" overdrive pedals and this one is the best. I really like how you can adjust the tones and it's beefy without sounding squished. Also great build quality! A great sounding overdrive pedal with lots of tonal options (probably not for metal unless you use it as a solo boost) but you can cover any genre: rock, country, blues, funk, classic rock. I use this… read more for all of my lead guitar gigs with bands and it's never let me down. This thing rules!
Wicxked
Saw it on Mike Mccready's board and had to have. Glad I added it to my board as my sound/tone is finally close to what I hear in my head. Have only had it a few weeks and there is so much to explore. Have not noticed any unwanted noise and stacks nicely with my blues driver and raijin cajun OD.
Awesome
If you’re on the fence with a screamer and other ODs,but can’t find that silver bullet. Get this. I am not a screamer guy. But stumbled across this pedal by chance. Can’t say enough good things about it. You can get your near typical screamer. But better. And it tweaks about nicely. Giving you a really sweet natural OD that is in screamerish territory. But it is no screamer..… read more Dime everything and the clean notes and definition still chime through. Very musical and inspirational. Your amp is still your amp. Just wow. Great pedal. Found the OD I have been searching for for years. Wish I could have found it sooner..
The Definitive Tube Screamer
This is the ultimate 'Tube Screamer'. It has a classic setting which is very reminiscent of the original, but then it also can switch into a more modern, more intense OD with variable boosts of 100hz and 500hz. Phenomenal sounds. As far as the build quality, it's top end. Metal chassis about 2" in thickness, about 4" wide and 4.5" tall. Looks impressive on a Pedalboard. The dials… read more are all high quality as is the footswitch. Absolutely my favorite OD pedal.
Great Pedal
This is probably the most versatile tubescreamer style of overdrive I've owned. But, this pedal has its own sound going on. It doesn't sound like a screamer but it kind of has the same vibe. This one thickens up the tone and is darker/warmer compared to other tubescreamer type of pedals I've tried. Great build quality. I've owned 3 wayhuge pedals. They've all been great. No exception… read more here. I like the new smaller size. It is better for my board. I would say it is a little bit bigger than say a boss pedal. If you owned a regular way huge pedal, this is a lot smaller than that. This rhino is like a modded screamer with more volume, more gain, more tone range, and 2 EQs. The classic and normal setting sound very similar. The main difference between the two is the in normal position there is a little bit more top end and you get control over the EQ. The 500Hz lets you fully scoop or boost to where it sounds a cocked-wah filtered sound. The 100hz lets you get the bass cut of a tubescreamer, or boost to the point your amp will rumble. Works great for stacking with amps, or other dirt and fuzzes while thickening up the tone a little bit. All in all great pedal. Can't go wrong with it.
