GT-100 Guitar Multi-effects Pedal Review

Only One Pedal needed Clean to Mean !!!!

There's a steep learning curve to pull out all the great Tones from this DO ALL IN 1 ALL Pedal Platform GT-100 !!! I've had it since October 14, 2021....so I've been thru it. If you take the time to learn how to "adjust the curve", you will be rewarded. !!! I use the computer and I went thru the Gt-100 itself to adjust different speaker combo's and even different Mic's make a… read more difference ! Tuner and the Metronome , is a great feature. The I really like the Acoustic simulation help's with the clean tone. Gotta get all you can of the Boss Central Library Host of guitarists that contribute different patches already done. Check out "Crisp Clean" for one. I'm using the 4 cable method hook up to my DSL 40,,,,man what tone !!!! Make sure to adjust your guitar input level,,,makes a difference...Made a patch for that.! Gotta Thank *****Tyler Moore******* He's the man !!!! , great advice from this man, experience with product shows !!! He gave me a deal I wasn't expecting, and I got it in 2 days !!!! I knew a week later Sweetwater wasn't getting it back !!!

Maybe outdated but not overrated!

This unit was collecting dust in my wish list for a few years now. I've been having a love/hate relationship with individual stomp boxes for a while now and was growing tired of all the wiring, routing, and power issues associated with a pedalboard and wanted to clean up my approach. I bit the bullet and went for this unit. I knew it was an older unit with older technology, compared… read more to the latest GT-1000, Headrush, and Helix options, but the GT-100 felt right for me (not to mention much cheaper). As soon as I unboxed it, powered up, and plugged in I knew I was home. I received it on a Saturday afternoon, spent a couple of hours creating a fresh patch and then played two sets with it on a Sunday and everything was awesome. Thankfully there is a lot of content available in forums and YT if one needs it. That being said, this unit is pretty easy to navigate and the UI is intuitive. I did need to dig for help on a couple of the deeper functions but most everything was easy. I haven't connected to my laptop yet but so far I have everything I need direct on board. I'm confident that the GT-100 is everything I need and then some. It's built like a tank, as expected from Boss. This is a much more powerful unit than I've ever used before and I'm looking forward to the possibilities. Don't let the older release date scare you. The GT-100 is a tone monster and will hang with all the new stuff without breaking a sweat. Shout out to Ed Nystrom! He's always ready to help if I need it. Happy New Gear, y'all!

Boss GT-100 = Excellent

The Boss GT-100 was a replacement for a Boss GT-8 that finally broke down (got lots of good use/live gigs out of it). The Boss GT-100 is an amazing upgrade and I am very pleased with the pre programmed sounds. It is very easy to program patches and create sounds, much easier than the GT-8.
