Best Response of all Modelers

Pete Ruth

I've now played all of the current generation and previous generations of modeling pedals at length, and except for Vox's old Tonelab, this box has the best dynamic response "feel". There's no lag between a picked note and the sound, and there's no "digitization" effect that things like Kemper can sometimes have with some patches. Just a great box. The only downside is that if read more you're not using effects loops, some of the presets need them and you have to patch them or change the program for them to sound right.

So Far, So Good

I've had this board for a few weeks now and I am pleasantly surprised. This is a nice upgrade from the GT-10 and GT-100. I love my GT-10 but wasn't to sold on the GT-100 and eventually sold that board. The new features of having 3 CTLs and 5 Patch switches are very cool. Programming and configuring this board to your own tastes is very user friendly via the "Menu" and "Effect" read more buttons (it also helps if you've used the GT products before). I use the 4 Cable Method (4CM), which is the only way I like to play these boards. The I/O is upgraded from the 100 and 10 with 2 S/R ports and the Sub-Outs. I still prefer the SPDIF of the GT-10 for studio recording but it's all good because the Sub Outs are the standard for most house set ups. The smaller size of this board is another great feature upgrade from the GT 10 and GT-100. Smaller size and more features, great upgrade. There are a plethora tutorials on You Tube for this board. The ones that I've found most helpful are the GT-1000 Ultimate Guide Video Series. A good one to start with out of the box is the update of the firmware. Overall, you can't go wrong with this board. Price wise, it's a little expensive, but I guess that's the price of doing business. Happy playing

This is not the kind of gear that you will ever fully understand without going through the entire manual, but this online manual is really well done and EZ to follow with Video lessons and all.. google GT-1000 online manual cause sweet water does not allow links in product reviews

Great piece of Gear!

I have been playing guitar for 6 years now. As like many others, I have been in search of the best tones. I have tried many products, from multi-effects units, amps, and pedals. Last week I decided to purchase the Boss GT-1000. I current use the Headrush Gigboard and BIAS FX. And these are great pieces of gear. But the Boss GT-1000 was amazing! After a week of running the paces read more and many hours of how to do videos, I am so happy with the feel, sound, and the interface. This is by far a rock solid piece of gear. To me, Boss has always made good products and they really did a fantastic job on the Boss GT-1000.
