Harlow V2 Boost Pedal with Bloom Review

Adds some color and compression in a simple to use box

This pedal really gives my attack a nice percussive vibe. The controls are dead simple and seem very interactive and the LED shows when the compression kicks in. It lacks a lot of fine control found in other compressors but if you just want something simple that can be your :always on" pedal then this is a solid choice. The unit is built like a tank!

Perfect

This does an incredible job at what it was designed to do. First, it is a terrific boost - it is transparent but the difference in tone is very pleasant / natural sounding (you really never want to turn it off), and interacts well with my amp / drive pedals. And the tone knob is very usable. I love this pedal as a compressor though - it doesn't make the signal sound "compressed"… read more as much as it (somehow) just makes my sloppy playing / picking dynamics sound better. And there's no noise. Be sure to read the instructions regarding the bloom knob though - most of the compression you want is in the lower half of the range. Above 12:00 it gets weird and turns into its own grungy effect. Anyways I couldn't be happier with this thing.

Great addition to any pedal board

The manual says: "you will not want to turn it off", that's absolutely true, I have other compressor pedals but this is something else, sounds different, but diffrent in a good way, the build quality is really nice, only downside is that's it is on the pricey side of pedals, but it's the only pedal I never got a bit of buyers remorse or second thoughts, just a solid good pedal,… read more and guess what.... After a couple weeks... I haven't turned it off!, love it!
