Great design
Really cool power source, fits great with the Temple board . A friend of mine got me the board for Christmas and had a blast setting it up.Temple mounts with GeorgeL's cables really makes the board organized and neat. Great product!!!!
Fantastic.
I was hesitant to spend the money on this at first, having never had a power supply before. I opted for a cheaper version and had poor results. Installed this and everything on my board is happy and healthily powered. I can't get over how compact it is. My previous psu was the size and weight of a brick. This thing is featherweight with a size to match. The integration into the… read more pedal board system is fantastic as well. Love that it just screws right into the side panel. I'm becoming more and more sold on the Temple Audio system as time goes on.
Awesome.
Simple install even with the limited documentation that came with it. It does instruct you to go to the temple audio website. The pdf you download from there is a "little" better. Overall if you look at the pictures it's pretty self explanatory. I got this for a Temple trio 43...a little small, maybe, but I only have 14-15 pedals on it right now. About half full. This powers them… read more perfectly. I can add another hi5 as I add to it. I love the way it integrates into the boards knock outs perfectly. I did have to leave one screw out on the ACmod, didn't have a screwdriver long enough, or with a small enough handle to put the one closest to the front of the board in. No biggy, since the screw threads are kinda like a nipple that the ac mod and hi5 mod set on. No danfer of it turning or anything as long as the other screw stays tight(used blue loctite). If you have a Temple Audio pedal board....get this, you won't regret it.
It’s needed
The Cioks Hi5 Mod power supply for Temple Audio pedal boards is a very convenient and necessary accessory to the line of TA boards. Super compact, powerful and quiet. I hesitate to give it 5 stars because the required AC adaptor is an IEC C7 type instead of the physically more robust EIC that we all know and love. Temple Audio's standard adaptor module includes a cute and… read more convenient little on-off switch, which I use on a larger TA pedal board with the ubiquitous Voodoo Lab power supply. It would have been nice if the Hi5 adaptor also had an on-off switch and perhaps a heavier duty cable and plug. I'm sure there was some technical reason it couldn't be done. Otherwise it's a solid little power supply that helps to maximize space on the board while minimizing weight.
Good power for Templeboards
As mentioned, this is a good power supply for a Temple Audio pedal board. I was unable find out which cables are sold with this prior to my purchase, so hopefully, I can help someone else avoid this confusion. Here's what mine came with (bought the version with the power adapter--please note that if you add up the numbers below, you'll see 9 cables listed. I swear that I counted… read more everything correctly, so maybe someone else did not?): * 1 x type 2 (red, 2.1mm, center +), approx 20 inches * 1 x type 4 (green, 2.5mm, center +), approx 20 inches * 3 x type 1 (black, 2.1mm, center -), approx 12 inches * 2 x type 1 (black, 2.1mm, center -), approx 20 inches * 1 x type 1 split flex (2-way splitter) (black, 2.1mm, center -) * 1 x type 1 3-way daisy chain (black, 2.1mm, center -) Just to note that according to Cioks, do not try to power multiple digital or combined digital and analog pedals on the same circuit (using either the split flex or the daisy chain cables) even if you are well within the power needs. Doing so will introduce noise into your signal chain. This means that you need to plan accordingly when running your power (at best) or buy an additional unit if you have multiple digital pedals (at worst).
