Great FUZZZ
This fuzz is great! Have a huge sound: lots of lowend and lots of saturation, works very well with other OD/boost pedals in front and in clean / OD / LEADS channel of my EVH 5051 III 50S 6L6 And top mounted jacks and silent/momentary footswitch are always a bonus in EarthQuakeDevices pedals This rocks! /
Absolutely Incredible Fuzz
I thought I had maxed out my want of fuzz pedals. I owned a 90s Big Muff Pi, but after holding on to it for twenty years I sold it because it just wasn't getting used. It was sitting around for nostalgia. I have the Hoof, which is great but like the Pi, it just wasn't as articulate as what I was looking for. They have a different feel than I'm after. But I heard the demos for… read more this and thought it's sounded amazing. So I bought one, and wow!! Just immediately blown away. It sounded like it was going to blow out my speakers on my Reverb Deluxe at just under 2, using a jazz master on the neck pickup. Huge HUGE instant perfect sludge band tone. I was immediately inspired and was further blown away by how articulate it is. You can hear every note in a chord. It's absolutely exceptional!
The Fuzz
Best Fuzz pedal I've ever used. Gives you so many options!
Another bigger big muff
This belongs in a conversation talking about recommended BMP clones, although as another reviewer suggested, it isn't as special as it would seem. Basically it's a very nicely tuned BMP, the layout is clear and not hidden. Super common transistors, I can't remember which si diodes I saw. But after feeling underwhelmed for only a moment, I stepped back in my mind and though "Well… read more despite what this thing WANTS to be, it IS one of the nicest tune ups I've heard on a BMP". I like this way better than my EQD cloven hoof, which is pretty puny sounding next to one of my ehx muffs, and the reason I was skeptical about their new BMP tune up. Glad I got the Hizumitas at the end of the day
Awesome tones and sustain from a pedal even at low volume.
I practice in a house filled with people using a 100 watt Peavey Valve King. I have a very hard time getting sustain and grit without boosting the krap out of the front end. I usually run clean with volume at 2. I've tried many petals trying to get sweet distortion at low volume. The Hizumitas is the pedal. It is now my favorite. It does a great job on anything from Holiday in Cambodia… read more (with an additional delay) to In a Gadda da Vida baby. I can get satisfaction with this petal and still practice while my family members are nearby. Great job Electro Harmonix working with Wata on this tone monster! I love fuzz and this is the fuzzyest pedal in my chain. It kicked my Wampler to the curb. I play mostly metal and surf.
