Bargain Tone for the Price

Amazing tone, great sustain, playability is astounding. The electronics are reliable. Pickups are warm and not over the top. The only complaint I have is that it does not come with a gig bag or a case. Other than that great bass.

This bass is as goods as it gets, I've been Ric man for years but wanted something new and different, so pic one of these up just by the reviews. I am blown away at how nice it plays, and the tones I get are exceptional, Mine needed a little neck adjustment and I'll probably adjust it just a little more, I tried the coated roto sounds just for the heck of it. Nice, Just got out read more of the studio and the best sound on the recordings is the bass, it's noticeable. Big sound. I've been playing 50 years and I still love great tone and this covers it all

I've owned this bass for a year now. I am not a professional player but I have played for 20 years on and off. I've owned a verity of basses , but this one is tops without question. I have a Fender Jazz and Fender Precision bass I used both when I play out (mostly party's and weddings) . So I was interested in trying out a bass that would cover both. From the moment I plugged this read more bass in I knew it was something special . The pickups have great range ,they cover both those guitars and more . Tone controls are are smooth and easy to use. I love the combination of the jazz neck with the p bass body. But there is something special about the neck, its fast and feels extra light in your hands and the fret work is A+. I love the neck binding and block inlays. The Hipshot tuners are nice. I (it) get lots of compliments when I play this thing. Which nowadays is always. I guess the only downside is I haven't touched my Fenders for a year now. Sorry about the long review. (I could go on and on) Also a shout out to the folks at Sweetwater they were very helpful with the purchase. (And finding me a nice case for it) Thank you. PS: I agree with the reviewer above . What are the strings Lakland use on this bass ? And how do I get more. They play great.

Just as I'd hoped

Fast, thin neck, vintage style pickups with great growl, through-body stringing for great sustain. Minor quibbles are: Volume pot taper on neck pickup is the kind that gives you most of the volume in the last 1/10th of rotation, and the plastic pickup covers have extremely sharp edges which require a little rounding to be comfortable to rest one's thumb on. All in all, a great read more and affordable alternative to a vintage P bass
