Cool sounding effects & a built in tuner. Team it up with a decent amp and you are in business. I have leaned on this thing over the years and never had any issues. It's very well built.

Awesome pedal modeler

I can't believe Line 6 still makes these. I got one about five years ago and it's still going strong. The models are pretty darn good, especially the tape delay and spring reverb. I don't much like the distortions or compressors and I don't use them anyway, but any of the modulation, pitch shift, reverb, echo/delay, and synth effects are spot-on. I love that it has a built-in tuner read more and that you can have a digital or analog bypass. This thing is solidly built and rugged, and I have gigged with it with absolutely no issues. Just keep in mind that this is NOT a multi-effects pedal and it has a rather large footprint. The UI is a little oldschool (I could imagine something like this existing in the 90s), but as a gigging musician I appreciate the simplicity and that this is completely hardware-based and does not require interfacing with an app or need firmware updates.

Way better than I expected!

I've owned many Line 6 products over the years. So naturally, I assumed the quality of the M5 would be roughly along those lines. But this really is a PEDAL. In fact it's 100 different pedals. The feel of it, the way it plays with other analog pedals, the M5 is just "one of the bunch." Is every pedal an absolute home run? Of course not. But you can throw it on your board, no special read more power required (9v standard), and have so many options. Most people will use this for the delays and reverbs, I'm sure. The mix knob is very useful when diving into the filters which can sound unusable on their own. Modulations are great. People say the drives are just "ok." I disagree! If you think of the drives as some pedal company's take on the circuit with added tone shaping features, I'm sure you'd like them about as well as hearing them in a blind test. To me, this pedal is about as close as I'll ever get to an H9. My only dillema is WHERE to place it... so naturally I have a bunch of stuff before it AND after it, making my board extremely versatile (primarily for being creative, loops, etc.)

Excelent addition to a pedalboard

I have 3 boss pedals a DS1,Overdrive and Chorus but couldn't afford to buy a Reverb and delay to complete my pedal board (Covid hit me hard). I received the M5 as a gift. I tried all the effects first and I love them, the presets are also great. The minute I hook up the M5 with the distortion and the overdrive the magic started... Amazing stuff I love it! I'm not technical at read more all however I learned how to use the M5 in less than an hour. Already create the presets I need and now my pedal board is complete. Came for the noise gate, the rest is really nice

I got those cause I wanted a stereo noise gate for a noisy DeepMind12 synth. It works pretty well for that, woot. Then I started playing with the rest of the sounds and some of them are incredible. Nice solid box, pretty great set of pedals, all for a reasonable price. Great way to modify synthesizer sounds, and I'm sure it will add flavor to my guitar pedal board if I want it read more there.
